How does the magic mug work?
The mug is personalised with your favourite photo, which is then coated with a black layer of heat-sensitive paint. This layer hides the image until we introduce a hot liquid that gradually makes the dark layer disappear. The hotter the liquid we pour, the better.
Keep in mind that this cup reacts to the temperature difference. So, to see your photo, the poured liquid must be at a high temperature. In other words, there must be a strong contrast between the liquid temperature and the cup itself.
We recommend that the liquid is (almost) boiling or (as when we are going to make an infusion) and that you pour the already hot liquid into the cold cup. Although the effect is also visible if we put the cup in the microwave, the result will be much more perfect and quicker if the liquid is already hot beforehand. Also, this way, you will be able to see how the image appears gradually, instead of all at once.
