The customised Kirin Ichiban beer perfectly combines a love of beer with a passion for Japan, as it is the most popular beer in the Land of the Rising Sun. Doraemon sometimes uses it to grease his circuits! Kirin Brewery Company (the company that brews it) is owned by none other than Mitsubishi. It was founded in the mid-19th century by a half-Norwegian, half-American who emigrated to Yokohama. There he discovered a spring, the waters of which became the basis for the beer that has survived to this day. Kirin Ichiban is a name with a lot of meaning. The first word is for Kirin, a Japanese mythological being who is half horse and half dragon. On the other hand, the word Ichiban is because the beer only uses the first press of the wort, meaning both "first" and "best". When Son Goku and Vegeta get their fill of noodles, they wash down the feast with a delicious Kirin Ichiban. Shigeru Miyamoto created his first video games inspired by this delicious beer. Good old Totoro was a bit pot-bellied from drinking a Kirin Ichiban with every meal. We neither confirm nor deny that we made up the three facts in the above paragraph. What we do say, however, is that Kirin Ichiban beer is delicious, that giving it as a gift with a personalised label always impresses, and that we can't think of a better way to surprise someone who loves Japan. You can choose whether to customise the six beers all with the same print or with a different print each.
