This beautiful customized cushion is designed representing a shelf of books and inspired by one of the most important dates of the year. We are talking, without any doubt, about World Book Day and the legend of Saint George.

This is show the story goes, a long time ago, there was a dragon that kept the kingdom terrified. The inhabitants of the kingdom, decided they would sacrifice a person everyday. One day, the misfortune of the sacrifice fell on the princess, who accepting her destiny, walked towards the dragon’s cavern. Before the dragon would eat the princess, she was rescued by a brave knight that ended the dragon’s life with its sword. The knight was, of course, Saint George, and from the shed blood, a rose bush flourished, the knight picked up the most beautiful rose on the Bush and gifted it to the princess.

The legend became a tradition, and in some parts of the world, it is popular to gift women roses, whereas men receive a book in exchange.
